Summer's Winding Down

The summer is quieting down for us.  After family camp weekend, my dad was a groomsman in Matt and Lindsey Hackenmueller's wedding.  I got to stay at Auntie Tracy's for the night while Mom and Dad whooped it up at the wedding. They said they had a super fun time. Matt and my Dad went to school and played rugby together.

I have been up to all kinds of trouble, from breaking Mom's dishes to climbing up on things!

With the help of Mom's leg as a step. I also climb on top of the laundry basket turned upside down, and the foot stool that Mom and Dad use to block an area.

I am also standing up A LOT on my own.  I really like to just stand maybe take a step or two and then sit.

I also really like to push my mower around and bang on the pan with my wooden spoon and spatula.

One of my most favorite things to do is snuggle with my Dad when he comes home from school, just can't get enough of the guy....

We don't have much planned for September; Dad has school on Saturdays starting soon, so we won't be able to do to much.

Congrats to my new friend that was born on Aug 30th at 9:29pm Owen Redington!
Can't wait to meet ya buddy!

Love,

Summer Rocks!

Been up to a lot of mischief lately, getting into everything I possibly can.  The last two weeks have just flown by.  We went up north to see all the Hanson's for the reunion and so that Dad could work on his deer stand before it got any closer to the upcoming season.

It was good to see everyone and super fun to go swimming in the lake.  Last weekend was busy we had dinner with some friends and learned that Kim and Brian (Dad went to high school with Kim) are having their 3rd baby!  Yay we are super excited for them!  Saturday Mom and I went to a bridal shower for the upcoming Hackenmueller wedding that Dad is an usher in. Dad went to the bachelor party, they went fishing on lake Mille Lacs.  Dad didn't catch anything....boo.  After the shower Mom and I went to Grandma and Granpa's and help with freezing 50 quarts of super yummy sweet corn.

Dad has finished his summer class and awaits the start of his full-time classes Aug 23rd.  He will be at school Monday - Friday and some Saturdays along with working 6am to 3 all week.....it was nice knowin ya dad.  See ya next year.  8-)  It will be a tough schedule for him, but it will be worth it in the end.  We also got news this week that my Great Uncle James H. fell out of the tree stand he was checking and broke his ankle.  He will have a hard time "resting" for 6-8 weeks.  Farmers never rest. I heard he was out to the barn the next morning overseeing what was going on.  Also my Great Ungle Gary G. was in the hospital for a blood clot in his colon (also called ischemic colitis). Things were pretty nerve racking due to possiblity of developing gangrene.  He is home now and on the road to recovery.  Another hardworking guy who has a hard time "resting".  Thankfully everyone is okay and working on getting better.

Me sleeping in my highchair for the first time!

I love fettuchini alfredo that my Dad makes! I went straight to the tub after, I even had noodles in my diaper!

Hope everyone is doing well,
love grant
